Counseling Services

Individual Counseling

Individual therapy is beneficial to engage one-on-one to explore current problems regarding school, family, friends, work or self with someone whom is unbias or judgemental. Here you are allowed to process thoughts and feelings, learn new ways of problem solving, communicating, coping, and increasing social skills, and exploring identity or self-esteem issues. For children under 18, I encourage parent participation for the first 5-10 minutes to identify presenting problems.

Family / Couple Counseling

Family / couple therapy is a great intervention to help families rebuild relationships by learning new ways of problem solving and communication techniques. It is also helpful with adjusting to life transitions such as marriage, divorce, blended families, death and relocation. I highly recommend family therapy for parent/child conflict, behavioral or school problems, sibling rivalry or one family member has a long-term (chronic) mental illness or addiction.

Parent Skills Training

All parents want what’s best for their children, but not every parent knows how to provide their child or teens with the tools to be successful. I can assist by teaching parents a variety of unique skills tailored to their family such as: discipline, self care, effective communication, problem solving skills, and strategies for handling difficult situations. I also provide information about development, resources, referrals, and more.

Online Counseling

Online counseling encourages clients to communicate openly and freely with a therapist from their own private space or virtually anywhere via video, email or chat. This form of counseling is beneficial for those who are traveling, adjusting to college, in need of immediate assistance, housebound and more. I am also able to provide counseling via text messaging. Although this is not recommended, I understand that at times, it is beneficial.

Pay Online

I accept check or cash or online payments prior to session. At this time I do not accept insurance, however I will provide you with a SuperBill in which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. For more information about insurance and reimbursement, please click here.
